Why Choose Hunger Strike?

As a person who loves to eat… well, at least enjoy eating 
I never find hunger strike is a right form of strike. In my defence, why put yourself in hunger if other forms of strike may yield the same or even better result?
Does hunger strike offer better attraction to draw people’s sympathy? Honestly, I just don’t see it. Hunger makes you weak, lost focus, and ill. In fact, I think hunger strike is one of the least desirable forms of protesting.
