If you’re using Microsoft Word and get annoyed with those red and/or green lines under the sentences, you’re not alone. Many of my friends have the same feeling.
So, how to turn it off? Easy! This is how…
The annoying red lines
- At the buttom of your Ms Word window, you can see something like “English (US)” or some other language. This is the language that Ms Word currently uses. If your typing doesn’t match the language dictionary (spelling/gramatical errors), then Word will show those lines.
- Double click the “English (US)” and then select Do not check spelling or grammar then press OK, and you’re done. To turn it back on, do the same and remove the check mark from the Do not check spelling or grammar.
- If you wanted to remove just one (red or green only), go to Tools - Options - Spelling & Grammar, and select Hide spelling errors in this document or Hide grammatical errors in this document. To make it more permanent select also Check spelling as you type and/or Check grammar as you type.
