Love triangle is deadly, at least according to one Indian movie. I can’t remember what the title is, but it’s certainly tragic. I went to my friend’s place and I don’t know how, but she suddenly came out with a DVD containing Indian movie collection. Not a big fan of Indian movies, I watched it as I slumber around.

The story started with this guy, named Vicky. He’s set to become a next singing superstar. Vicky has a girlfriend named Anjali, and a devoted fan named Natasha. All of them apparently went to the same university and became good friends to each other.

Vicky has always love Anjali, but Natasha manages to become Vicky’s manager and song writer (I think). Natasha takes Vicky to the US and made him a star. The success of her work apparently not limited only to the music business, but she’s also very talented in seducing Vicky to bed. The poor bastard couldn’t resist and came to her.

Being a loyal fan of Vicky, Natasha did what she did out of love for Vicky. She became obsessed with Vicky and tries her best to win his heart. But that’s not going to happen. Vicky doesn’t love Natasha, and the sex is only a mistake

Natasha couldn’t accept and she becomes more and more obsessed. She even tried to show Vicky by bombing two of Vicky’s opponents. “No one can’t take my Vicky” she said… creepy!

How about Anjali? Well Anjali is this perfect-type girl. She completely trusts Vicky and wait patiently in her home. She is the wise one and so pure and innocent. This is perhaps why Vicky can’t let her Anjali go, he loves her, he’s going to marry her.
On receiving the news Natasha is turning into this very obsessed, very crazy chick. She sings and dances in Vicky’s engagement party. Expressing her disappointment by dancing on a broken glass. Her feet is full of blood but still manages to dance sexy…. yup… sexy but freaky.

Smelling something wrong, Anjali starts to question. Can’t hide anymore from the crazy Natasha, Vicky tells everything. Shocked but full or mercy, Anjali accepts Vicky’s explanation and confronted Natasha instead.

Natasha: “I love him very much and I can kill to have him in my arms”, Anjali: “Yeah OK, but I die for him” … well this is the deadly words that came out from Anjali. Natasha couldn’t speak. She couldn’t breath and ran away to her home and throw whatever things she can reach to release her disappointment.

Long story short, Vicky and Anjali come to Natasha’s house and found her house in a mess. They found Natasha sitting motionless. Thinking that she still alive, Vicky and Anjali try to convince Natasha and reaffirm their love for each other. But no response.

They come closer only to find Natasha is dead. Killing herself in the head. On a piece of paper she wrote “Anjali said she dies for you, but I also can do the same. Vicky my love, I die for you”.

Well that’s tragic. I had to ask over and over again to get the story straight. To me watching Indian movie is the same thing as watching sinetron. But I have to admit this movie is better than most of Indonesian sinetron combined.

Singing and dancing were as expected, but the portrayal of Vicky as masculine guy is somewhat annoys me. There are scenes where Vicky has to take photo shoots, and during this session his act is annoying if not disturbing to see.

One last note, who the heck named a guy Vicky??? Couldn’t they come out with a better name?
